Is a Shakeon confirmation legally binding?

For legally binding agreements, especially high-value ones, consult a lawyer. That said, most freelance disputes aren't about contract law — they're about "what did we actually agree on?" Do my clients need an account?

No — and that's deliberate. Your client gets a clean link, reads the scope, and confirms with one click. No signup, no password, no app to install. Friction kills confirmations, so we removed all of it. The fewer steps between sending and the "shake," the more likely your client actually does it.

How is this different from just sending an email?

An email can say the same words, but it isn't built to be the source of truth. It gets buried, edited, forwarded, or remembered differently. A Shakeon confirmation lives at one stable link, is timestamped, and is explicitly confirmed with a click — so three weeks later there's no debate. When something new comes up, you or your client send a change request — a clear addition or adjustment to the original scope — and your client confirms it the same one-click way. Each change is recorded on top of the original, so you always have a clear timeline of what was agreed and when, instead of scope drifting silently through scattered messages. The change request flow is included even on the Free plan.

Is my data secure, and where is it stored?

Yes. Your data is stored on EU-hosted infrastructure and transmitted over encrypted connections. Confirmations are timestamped and saved securely, so both you and your client always have a copy.
